The Nashua approach

4 questions

What is Nashua's aim?

To make professional hair care quality accessible to more people. We bring salon care and home maintenance products together with a simple, transparent approach focused on hair's needs.

How are simplicity and accessibility connected?

For us, simplicity is a principle in both care and the way our brand works. By avoiding unnecessary expenses, we focus on the product and care experience, aiming to offer accessible products. In care routines, we also do not recommend adding unnecessary steps.

Does less is more mean every product has a very short ingredient list?

No. This approach also includes making the product's purpose and role in your routine easy to understand. Highlighted ingredients are only part of the full formula; check the INCI list for all ingredients.

Do you take our feedback into account?

Yes. We value your feedback in our approach to improving products and the care experience. Including the product name, pack volume and your experience when sharing feedback helps us understand the topic better.

Product selection

5 questions

How can I find a product suited to my hair type?

Use the care setting, product type and desired effect filters on the Products page. You can also search by product or range name. Hair suitability descriptions appear on each product's detail page.

What is the difference between salon care and home maintenance products?

Salon care products are for professional applications assessed by a hairdresser according to your hair's current condition and treatment history. Home maintenance products support a daily care plan through cleansing, intensive care and complementary steps as needed.

Should I choose the same range for moisture needs and damage?

Hydra Flexile focuses on moisture-oriented cleansing and care, while Restora Active focuses on keratin-supported home care for damaged hair. Dryness and treatment-related damage can occur together; assess the priority with your hairdresser.

Do I have to use products from the same range?

No. Shampoo and mask from the same range have different roles within a shared care focus. When choosing another complementary product, consider your hair's needs together with each product's own instructions.

Can I use a cream or serum on fine hair?

Check the product's suitability and application information. Start with a small amount on lengths and ends, then apply gradually as needed; avoid heavy product build-up at the roots. Cream and serum may be applied to hair with different moisture levels.

03

Application and routine

6 questions

How should I order my care steps?

Start with cleansing, then intensive rinse-out care according to its own instructions if needed, followed by an appropriate complementary step. Using a mask at every wash or all complementary products at once is not required. Explore the routine section on product pages.

Is shampooing twice required?

No. Shampoo labels specify repeating when necessary. Rather than applying twice at every wash, follow your hair's needs and the product instructions.

Do all masks have the same leave-on time?

No. The Hairevive Effect Rinse-off Mask label describes approximately 5–7 minutes; Hydra Flexile and Restora Active masks specify at least 15 minutes. Do not transfer one product's timing to another; follow current packaging instructions.

Should I apply the mask to my roots?

The Hairevive, Hydra Flexile and Restora Active mask directions on this site describe application to lengths and ends. Distribute the mask evenly and rinse after its own leave-on time.

Are all leave-in products applied to damp hair?

No. Cremask and Hairevive Leave-in Cream are applied to damp lengths and ends. The Lux Oil box instructions describe use on dry lengths and ends after routine care is complete. The fact that a product is leave-in does not alone determine its application method.

Must products suitable for daily use be used every day?

No. Suitability for daily use does not mean daily use is required. Determine frequency according to your hair's needs, routine and the product's current directions.

04

Tone, volume and styling

5 questions

How many minutes should Silver purple shampoo be left on?

The Silver Reflection label gives no specific leave-on time in minutes. It describes massaging into hair, lathering and rinsing with plenty of water. Do not apply another purple shampoo's timing to this product.

How often should I use purple shampoo?

The label gives no fixed weekly frequency. Discuss a use plan with your hairdresser according to unwanted warm-tone needs in blonde, grey, white or lightened hair. Tone care is a different need from intensive moisture care.

When is Aegis heat protection spray applied?

Spray a sufficient amount onto the lengths and ends of washed, damp hair, comb through and do not rinse. Application to damp hair does not mean every styling appliance can be used on damp hair; also follow the appliance's own instructions.

Is a specific temperature given for heat protection?

The Aegis label does not specify a temperature or protection percentage. A numerical protection value must therefore not be assumed. Check product and appliance instructions together.

Are Volumizer and Lux Oil used for the same purpose?

No. Volumizer focuses on the appearance of volume and texture and can be applied to dry or wet hair. Lux Oil is used on dry lengths and ends after care for a feeling of shine and silky texture. Neither has the same role as Aegis's care step before heat styling.

05

Ingredient information and storage

4 questions

Where can I find the most current ingredient list?

Follow the full INCI list on the packaging of the product in your hands. Site information is based on product labels; different formula or packaging versions may exist. Read the note on the product page when versions differ.

Are highlighted ingredients the full ingredient list?

No. Highlighted ingredients are a selection used to explain the care approach. For the complete formula, explore Ingredients / INCI on the product page and the current packaging.

Are Nashua shampoos sulphate-free?

The ingredient lists of shampoos listed on this site contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate; these products are not presented as sulphate-free. When making a choice about an ingredient, check the full INCI list rather than the range name.

How should I store products?

Follow the storage warnings on each product's own packaging. Product labels specify protection from heat, light and moisture and storage out of reach of children. Product-specific warnings are also on the detail page.

Professional salon care

2 questions

Is Hairevive İxir a mandatory fourth step in every care routine?

No. İxir is assessed separately by a professional according to the salon treatment planned and the hair's condition. It does not form a mandatory four-step routine with shampoo, mask and cream.

Where can I learn the mixing ratio for salon application?

Do not derive a ratio or dose absent from the label. Obtain the manufacturer's current professional application information, especially when using İxir with lightener mixtures. Your hairdresser should assess the planned treatment together with the product's current application protocol.
